Amir Ben-Efraim, CEO
Amir is CEO and co-founder of Altor Networks. Amir has over 18 years of experience in high-tech management, including marketing, business development and software engineering. Most recently, Amir was head of business development at Check Point Software where he led the company’s global BD efforts, including partnerships, OEMs, corporate strategy and M&A considerations. Previously, Amir was co-founder and senior vice president of marketing at Blue Wireless, a vendor of personalization software for telecommunication carriers. Prior to Blue Wireless, Amir led marketing initiatives at Netro Corporation, and simulation projects as lead software engineer at Amdahl Computers. Amir holds an M.B.A. from UCLA, an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from UC Berkeley.
Dr. Ulrich Stern, CTO
Uli is CTO and co-founder of Altor Networks. Prior to Altor Networks, he spent six years at Medallia as CTO and co-founder, designing and implementing majority of the first generation of Medallia’s market leading application, including a superfast OLAP engine, and helping build and lead an engineering dream team that includes multiple ACM medalists. Prior to Medallia, he built initial products or prototypes for several start-ups, including Blue Wireless and Epocrates. Uli is a recognized expert in efficient algorithms for reducing memory usage and execution time of a class of verification tools used for software, hardware, and computer security protocols. PhD and M.S., summa cum laude, Technical University of Munich, with the PhD dissertation research performed at Stanford University.
Moshe Litvin, VP of Engineering
Moshe comes to Altor Networks from Check Point Software where he served in various R&D roles for the last ten years. In his last position, Moshe was Chief Architect at Check Point Software, and prior to that Moshe led development of VPN-1 - Check Point’s flagship product. Before that Moshe was an officer in the technology unit at the Israeli Defense Forces Intelligence Corp. Moshe received his B.S. in Mathematics and Science while still in high school, and his M.S. in Mathematics Cum Laude from the the Herbrew University in Jerusalem.
Brent Bilger, VP Marketing
Brent Bilger is the Vice President of Marketing for Altor Networks and has responsibility for product management and out bound marketing for the company. Previous to joining Altor Networks, Mr. Bilger was the Chief Marketing Officer at Home Director, Inc. where he had responsibility for the overall marketing strategy of the company. Before that, he was Vice President of Marketing and a co-founders of Destiny Networks which was subsequently sold to Home Director. Previous to that, Mr. Bilger was Vice President of Marketing at MMC Networks, where he was responsible for setting the company’s go-to-market strategy and was instrumental in creating the Network Processor industry. Before MMC, Mr. Bilger spent more than seven years at Cisco Systems where he was responsible for Cisco's product direction for telcos, cable companies and Internet service providers. While at Cisco, Mr. Bilger was responsible for defining Cisco’s core router product family. He was also a founding member of the Frame Relay Forum, the SMDS Interest Group, and the ATM Forum. Mr. Bilger holds a Bachelor of Art and Science degree from Dartmouth College, a Bachelor of Engineering from the Thayer School at Dartmouth College and a Masters of Engineering degree from Cornell University.
Poornima DeBolle, Senior Director of Business Development
Poornima leads business development and strategic alliances at Altor Networks. In her last role as head of business development at Check Point Software, she managed all aspects of business development including their partner programs - OPSEC and Secured by Check Point, OEMs, and M&A initiatives. During her 10 year tenure at Check Point, Poornima developed a multi-faceted perspective of the computer security industry with hands-on experience in engineering and product management. Prior to Check Point, Poornima was firmware engineer at Network Application Technology where she was responsible for their flagship RMON products. She holds a M.S. in Computer Engineering from Arizona State University.
