Q: How many Altor Agents do I need per physical server?

You will need only one Altor Agent per physical server. Each agent can monitor up to three virtual switches.

Q: Will I need more Altor Agents if I have VLANs on my virtual switches?

No, the number of Altor Agents does not increase based on the number of VLANs. For example, if you have three virtual switches and six VLANs on one physical server, you will still need only one Altor Agent.

Q: Will the Altor Agent affect the network latency?

Altor Agent passively monitors the virtual network traffic. It does not introduce any network latency.

Q: How can I export the information in the Altor Center database?

Altor Center uses a standard database format to store its data, letting customers use their preferred database export/extraction tools.
